Unfortunately due to the devastating hail
that hit our farm and our crops on June 22, 2012
We will not be open for Apple Picking this season.
The apples are severly damaged
and most of them are not in a useable condition.
We are sorry that we can't open for picking.
We are looking forward to seeing you and
your family next year for apple picking.

The Don Baker Farm Family
Dale Baker and Mother Nature are the two elements
that make all the fruit taste better here than anywhere else.
Dale is a third generation grower who
creates and selects each and every piece of fruit -
and you can taste it in every bite.
Mrs. Baker passed away last summer. She welcomed all our guest pickers for 61 years,
you can absolutely feel her special spirit everywhere at the farm.

Susan Baker is the newest member of the family, Dale is a very lucky guy, they were married right in the Orchard.
Sue will guide you in your farm fresh fruit picking right from the trees
Jim is the full service package and always able to do it all absolutely perfectly...
Osmond passed away last winter
after over a decade of working at the orchard.
He is missed each day and had a unique blend of special skills and talents,
with a quiet calm that showed decades of orchard experience.
I just discovered that his middle name was Nesbert ;-)
He had the world's best smile.
Travel Directions
From the NYS Thruway:
Take exit 21 for Catskill and then Rt 23 East to the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.
After crossing the bridge bear right onto RT 9G South for 1.4 miles.
Turn left onto County Route 14 and look for the farm 1 mile on your left.
From the Taconic Pkwy:
Take the Rt 82 Ancram exit for Hudson.
Follow Rt 82 towards Hudson to the first traffic light at the intersection with Rt9.
Go straight through the intersection which becomes Rt 9
for 1 mile and turn left onto Church Road at the Pizza Garden.
Continue 2 miles to the 4-way stop just past the Mt Pleasant Church.
Go straight at the stop sign onto Rt 14
to the farm which is 1/2 mile on the right.
From the City of Hudson:
Take Rt 9 south about 3 miles to the traffic light at the intersection of Rt 9 and 23.
Go straight at the light onto Rt 31,
go 1.5 miles to the stop sign and turn right onto Rt 14.
The farm is about 1/2 mile on the right.
